We were interviewed about our studio, The Bottle Garden, on CBC Montreal show Cinq à Six with Jeannette Kelly in March. We rambled about analog recording, building the studio, and gossiped about bands who’ve passed through. We played some of our own music, as well as some artists who’ve recorded in the Bottle Garden (we couldn’t play them all, unfortunately!) , including Lantern, Sheer Agony, TOPS, Jef Barbara, Moss Lime, and Exit Someone. We also got to play ‘Song For Insane Times’ by Kevin Ayers, as an example of one of our favourite recordings.
You can listen to the whole interview in the archives here.
There’s also a short web writeup here.

Peter made a blog for our studio, The Bottle Garden, where we recorded our album. We also work with other bands, including Brave Radar, Mavo, Postcards, Silver Dapples, Expo 67, Reversing Falls and a few others.. the list will grow over time!
The Bottle Garden blog includes technical information about our studio as well as lots of posts about analog equipment, recording techniques and eccentric engineers.
