We just made a video in three parts (two full songs and one short tape collage from Do Not Affect A Breezy Manner).
It was filmed on Super 8mm on a very, very cold day (sorry Tessa).
In other news, we
have had some upcoming shows (they were fun–thanks!) 1) Friday, January 24 in Ottawa: https://www.facebook.com/events/634128683318156 2) Saturday, January 25 in Kingston: https://www.facebook.com/events/1414664565442010/ 3) Friday, March 7 in Hamilton: https://www.facebook.com/events/685164944857003/ 4) Saturday, March 8 in Toronto: https://www.facebook.com/events/812203462130046 5) Friday, March 21 in Montreal: https://www.facebook.com/events/683717688338523/ 6) Saturday, March 22 in Ottawa: https://www.facebook.com/events/264976060329669/
This new vid stars the totally excellent JLK. We did it on colour Super 8 film.
If you’re in Montreal, we’ll be having a really fun record release show/party on Saturday November 30th with Sheer Agony and Mécanik Synthétik (on the weird and wonderful VCS3). It’s PWYC. Deets here.
Here’s the first video from Do Not Affect A Breezy Manner LP. Shot on Tri-X super 8 film.
“Paisley and Pastel” is from our Pineapple Hair cassette e.p. on Fixture Records. The tape is sold out, but the digital download is available here: fixturerecords.bandcamp.com/album/pineapple-hair-e-p
We shot the video in our bed through a Cokin prism filter.
Premiered by Strauss on Tiny Mixtapes.
(If you live in a country where youtube and vimeo are blocked, this should work: http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XNDY5MTAzMDYw.html )
This is a live performance of Mary (to be released on upcoming album in the spring) from the Bottle Garden Studio party on April 14th 2012.
Audio recorded to analog tape at 7.5 ips. Footage shot by a few different people watching the show. Video compiled and edited by Caitlin Loney. Sheer Agony, Brave Radar, and the Strange Hobbies also played at this party (click on links to see videos of their performances).
…lovely surprise cover song by Jef Jef (Special Noise, Play Guitar) in the Burrito-Bike basement in Halifax, during Pop Explosion fest, Jan 24 2010.
…made by Caitlin, featuring George H. Cat and people in the neighbourhood… next time ’round we hope to have a proper camera or a budget (or both). Watch out for other videos by us and possibly other videographers!
